As part of the effort to engage young A*STAR scholars, A*GA organized three runs of the Research Exposure Programme from November to December this year. A total of about 50 secondary school students visited IME on 24 November and 1 December 2009 as part of this programme.
During the laboratory visit, they visited the Bioelectronics Laboratory, Microsystems Modules Components Laboratory and cleanrooms and where they had the opportunity to interact with IME's researchers and gained valuable insights on laboratories operation and research areas. It was indeed a great exposure for many and it is hoped that this experience will inspire these young minds to pursue their interest in science and embark on a career in research in the future.
