IME and Panasonic to jointly develop a platform technology for life science applications

IME and Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. entered into a collaborative agreement on 9th June 2008 to jointly develop a platform technology for life science applications. Armed with strong competencies in robust CMOS process and Si nanotechnology, the team will expand this platform technology into “manufacturable yet reproducible” bio-chips and fluidic microsystems. When completed, the technology will replace the conventional low-throughput instruments which presently require highly-skilled operators. This will add to Panasonic’s new product lines.
