Eight research papers were presented by IME at the 2007 IEEE Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFIC) Symposium held in Honolulu, Hawaii from 3-5 June. Out of the eight papers, four were co-authored by National University of Singapore (NUS) students who are attached to IME. The papers covered topics including ultra wideband IC, RFID reader IC, millimeter wave and on-chip interconnects modelling.
At the IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) held from 27-30 May at New Orleans, IME presented four papers including one on a mixed-signal IC for wearable bio-electronics chip for heart rate sensor application, and a IME/NUS paper on multi-band CMOS low noise amplifier for multi-standard wirless receivers.
In addition, 10 IME papers were recognised at the 14th International Conference on Micro-Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems - Transducers'07 & Eurosensors XXI held from 10-14 June at Lyon, France. IME's papers covered a wide range of topics in bio-sensors and MEMS such as Si nanowire sensor technology, Si nanowire DNA sensor, nanogap sensors, cell on chip, Si chips for pathogen detection and RF-MEMS.
