Work Place Health Promotion Programme

Knowing the importance of a fit and healthy workforce, IME launched the Work Place Health Promotion Programme in year 2000. The activities conducted under this programme are targeted to raise staff awareness of health issues. Events such as "IME Fruit Day", Mass Workout sessions and Lunch-time Health Talks have been well-received by our staff. Our efforts have resulted in our being awarded the prestigious Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) Award for three consecutive years.

Staff Development Programmes
IME recognizes the importance of staff training and development in enhancing their skills to progress and develop their careers. With lifelong learning as our ultimate goal, IME supports a broad range of training and development programmes to meet the staff training needs identified by the managers. These include in-house technical courses, external training courses, conferences and course sponsorships.

Sports and Recreation Committee
All work and no play makes an employee a dull person. The Sports and Recreation Committee was put in place to provide our staff with opportunities to take a break, relax and enjoy the informal interaction with each other, further enhancing the communication channels that are already in abundance.

Communications

IME understands that communication is of utmost importance and has created various channels to ensure a smooth flow of information and feedback. Electronic newsletters, team-building events, HR Briefing Sessions and Directors' Sessions with the entire organization are all regular activities of our comprehensive communication programme.

Community Services

IME participates actively in community services and is proud to be part of the SHARE Programme, which is a national initiative by the Community Chest to encourage financial assistance for the less fortunate in the society. Paper recycling campaign, donation of used computers, donation drives for victims of natural disasters and charity sales have been organized to promote our cause to IME staff who responded with great compassion. Our relentless efforts have been rewarded with several awards from the Community Chest.
