Fab Director

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of process engineers and research/lab officers for efficient cleanroom operations of a silicon R&D wafer fab.  Typical applications and process integrations include Nano-electronics, Si-Photonics, MEMS, bio-electronics and 3D-TSV technologies
• Ensure high tools up time with proper planning and execution of PM schedules.  Liaise with equipment vendors for timely and cost effective maintenance of tools
• Liaise with facility personnel for maintenance of cleanroom and associated utilities
• Work with process module engineers to provide process engineering support for process sustenance and development of new processes
• Plan and implement measures to improve cycle time, tools and facility utilization, rework/rejection rate
• Responsible for operations budget planning and implementation
• Ensure efficient lot operation including hot lot management to assist project leaders for on-time delivery
• Timely response to operations problems with workable solutions.
• Maintain proper clean room documentation and provide reports on process/tools issues and rectification plan. Responsible for ISO preparation and review.
• Manage new tools procurement, installation and qualification

Requirements:

• Ph.D in Engineering/Science
• At least 5 years experience in wafer fab/cleanroom management
• Excellent people management skills
• Excellent inter-personal and management skills across various organizations
