NANO ELECTRONICS AND PHOTONICS PROGRAM
Scientist - Silicon Photonics, Active Devices
Responsibilities:
- Design, fabricate, and characterize silicon photonic component, with emphasis on silicon avalanche photodetectors and arrays
- Work with a team of engineers and researchers to develop novel CMOS compatible photonic devices fabrication technology
- Develop and realize new device structure and processes in compliance to project specifications and requirements
- Establish and secure collaborations with leaders in the photonics field, including both academic researchers and industry partners
Requirements:
- PhD degree in electrical engineering/applied physics or equivalent with major strength in device physics and process integration
- The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in research and development with a history of successful project management
- Good knowledge and experience in silicon micro-fabrication processes, knowledge and experience of test and characterization of single photon counting devices would be an advantage
- Good publication's track record in relevant fields
- Capable to work with interdisciplinary team of researchers
- Excellent communication, presentation and technical writing skills
