INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT

Deputy Director/Senior Manager/Manager - Industry Development (Commercialization)

Responsibilities:

• To strategize, execute and manage the translation of technology developed at IME into commercial industry applications. It is anticipated that this will be achieved through partnering with other research institutes, Exploit Technologies or with industry partners.
• To spearhead various grant/funding applications for commercialization including business development proposal and budgeting.
• To provide leadership in conducting technology and market intelligence to develop intellectual property portfolio for selected research groups.

Requirements:

• A strong engineering background with an ability to appreciate the potential commercialization impact of innovations
• At least a Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent, with an MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated experience of commercialization from innovations to licensing and/or spin-off.
• Candidates should be up to date with R&D landscape and industry trends in the relevant areas
