Senior Research Engineer - Neuroprobe (Post 2)
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of a wireless fully-implantable neuroprobe microsystem. The specific activities will involve:
- Working with neurosurgeons/neurobiologists to conduct animal studies
- Experimental validation of neuroprobes for acute and chronic tissue reaction
- Conducting electrophysiology recordings both in-vitro and in-vivo
Requirements:
- PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering or relevant field
- Knowledge of neurobiology and neuroanatomy
- Neural cell culture experience is preferred
- Understanding of bioelectricity and fundamentals of neuroelectronic interfaces
- Capability to work in a highly interdisciplinary team of researchers.
- Excellent communications skills in oral as well as technical writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork with strong self-motivation
