Senior Research Engineer - Neuroprobe (Post 2)

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of a wireless fully-implantable neuroprobe microsystem. The specific activities will involve:

  • Working with neurosurgeons/neurobiologists to conduct animal studies
  • Experimental validation of neuroprobes for acute and chronic tissue reaction
  • Conducting electrophysiology recordings both in-vitro and in-vivo

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering or relevant field
  • Knowledge of neurobiology and neuroanatomy
  • Neural cell culture experience is preferred
  • Understanding of bioelectricity and fundamentals of neuroelectronic interfaces
  • Capability to work in a highly interdisciplinary team of researchers.
  • Excellent communications skills in oral as well as technical writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork with strong self-motivation
